How does anything start? Sometimes fate gives you the push you need.
In our case, that push came in the form of layoff notices. Certainly not our first after years working in broadcast newsrooms. But there we were, out on a walk, talking about the new career paths we hoped to forge.
We knew how to tell stories. How to shape narratives. How to guide talent, define editorial direction, and turn raw information into compelling storytelling. We had built and mentored amazing teams, launched award-winning shows, coached reporters, and been the calm, trusted voice in anchors’ ears.
But who would trust us to do all of that outside a newsroom?
We would. So we hired ourselves.
The very next day, we began building That Tracks Content, an agency built on three pillars: brand storytelling, brand journalism and PR.
All the experience, instincts, and trust we earned over two decades were suddenly laser-focused on helping brands, mission-driven organizations, and leaders increase awareness, influence, and authority through exceptional storytelling.
What started as a moment of uncertainty became the clearest decision we’d ever made.
